The ALi M3101C is a cost effective, single-chip solution for DVB TV set-top box (STB) applications. The M3101C has an embedded high performance CPU, COFDM demodulator, an embedded TV encoder, and accelerator for MPEG/JPEG decoding. Other major function blocks include SDRAM/Flash memory controller, 2-channel Audio DAC and S/PDIF digital audio interface, dedicated display engine for STB playback and USB Host Port. It could be used for DVB-T platform solution. This makes the M3101C ideally suitable for mass-market low-cost set-top box applications.
